Micro-Business Support

Micro-Business/Enterprise Support program supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in creating and managing their own micro-businesses. Using a person-centered approach, staff help identify the individual’s strengths, interests, and viable business ideas. Comprehensive support includes developing a business plan, securing funding, and ensuring legal compliance. Ongoing training is provided in areas such as marketing, customer service, and financial management. The focus is on fostering independence, leadership, and social inclusion through meaningful community participation. Staff are qualified in both disability support and basic business operations, and must have reliable transportation. Ultimately, this service empowers individuals with IDD to lead self-directed lives through entrepreneurship.
